I recently got to attend a Grief Retreat at Harmony Woods Retreat Center in Spokane, WA. I had rented a room in this space to spend 3 weeks dancing and researching how dance is being using in therapeutic ways to help individuals and groups return to embodied experience. The Grief Retreat was an unexpected part of this chapter.

I was told that one of the weekends there would be a Grief Retreat and signed up, and got to meet Laurence Cole, an incredibly gentle and present facilitator who drummed for us and throughout the weekend taught us songs we sang together.
